What kind of digital camera should I buy?

I’m looking for a basic digital camera with decent image quality to take occasional photos of family and friends. I want to spend less than $200. What kind of digital camera should I buy?

   I’d recommend Canon SD1100 IS or A590 IS. Both have image stabilization which helps to reduce blur.

   Other than not having a viewfinder the Samsung L210 is a fine camera. 3X optical zoom, 10 megapixels, has manual controls, and you can set ISO higher than most and get a decent photo. Will give you very good image quality. Best Buy has it for under $125-

   canon a470 excellent camera with a good optical zoom and only £70!
